House M.D. Season 4, Episode 1 (ep 401) 'Alone' description (Spoiler)

Fox has released this description for the first episode of House M.D. season four. For you who does not want any prior knowledge, stop reading here!

"When an office building collapses, House has to work fast to diagnose a young woman, Megan, who survived the disaster. Due to her injuries, Megan's only form of communication is blinking. House, without a team since Foreman and Cameron quit and he fired Chase, talks through his ideas with a janitor at the hospital. As Megan's condition worsens, Cuddy puts pressure on House to hire a new team, but House defiantly ignores her, and Wilson resorts to desperate measures and hits House where he knows it will hurt. As House persists in diagnosing Megan by himself, he realizes that the case is not what it appears, and that solitude may not be the answer in the "Alone" episode of HOUSE airing Tuesday, Sept. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

TVguide's Michael Ausiello on House M.D. Season 4 (Spoiler?)

Michael Ausiello at TVguide is by many viewed as one of the real insiders of the TV world, and his Q&A pages on TVguide are very well visited.

I'm not sure if it is to be considered a 'Spoiler' but taking into consideration his insider position in the world of broadcasting I find the answer to the question he is being asked very interesting.

"Question: Is there any hope of House getting a new love interest in the new season?— Sophia

Ausiello: Depends on how he feels about fast women, because there's a speedy one headed to Princeton-Plainsboro. An upcoming patient-of-the-week story will revolve around a Danica Patrick-esque NASCAR driver. In a separate episode, House will tend to a patient with a craniofacial deformity à la Eric Stoltz in
Mask."

Season 4 - Episode 1 Confirmed News!

MSNBC has added an "official" article confirming what the plans for the opening episode of House M.D. season 4.
_____________________________________________________________________________________

"In the season finale, "House" looked like it was divided against itself. Three major members of Dr. House's team -- Foreman, Chase and Cameron -- had moved on. But the three actors who play them (Omar Epps, Jesse Spencer, and Jennifer Morrison) all joined star Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Robert Sean Leonard and executive producer Katie Jacobs for a press tour panel. If that didn't soothe worries that they'd all eventually rejoin the show, the panelists' discussion went on to do just that.

"Everybody is back eventually," said Jacobs. "And everybody is back having changed and in
different capacities."

But they'll find some new faces when they do return. Said Jacobs, "In the first episode, House is alone and House is trying to solve cases by himself. Of course, Cuddy is pissed and Robert thinks he's losing his mind. And Cuddy will insist, and ultimately win, that -- she will insist that he hire a new team. But he will do it in a very Houseian way."

That Houseian way, Jacobs said, involves 40 candidates for the jobs playing "a 'House' version of 'Survivor'." Deals with five actors have been struck that could turn into new regular parts. Among the five will be Kal Penn (Kumar from "Harold & Kumar") as a young doctor with "a very cool procedure," Peter Jacobson as a plastic surgeon, and Olivia Wilde ("The O.C.," "The Black Donnellys"). In true House form, House will make all the candidates wear marathon-like numbers so he can tell them apart, and Wilde will play the mysterious "Number 13."
